Dr Sonia Schutz – Senior General Practitioner

I have been privileged to serve the Mannum community as a General Practitioner since 2003. My husband and I live on a small property just outside of town, where we raised our three children. Practicing as a rural GP is a deeply rewarding experience. I value the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with my patients and understand the unique challenges and strengths of living in a regional setting like Mannum. I am passionate about all areas of general practice, with particular interests in complex chronic conditions, aged care, palliative care, and lifestyle medicine. My approach to healthcare is patient-centred and collaborative. I take the time to listen, understand individual needs, and work closely with patients and their families to support their health goals. I regularly visit the local nursing home and contribute to the emergency and after-hours roster at Mannum Hospital, ensuring continuity of care across all aspects of the community.
