Appointment
Consultations at Mannum Medical are available by appointment.
If you arrive without a booking, we will do our best to accommodate your needs; however, depending on availability, you may be directed to an alternative service to ensure timely care.
Please remember that we are a general practice clinic. Emergency presentations are advised to attend the hospital Emergency Department.
We are now bulk billing all regular consultations, health assessments, and chronic care management items, in line with the new Federal Government Bulk Bill Initiatives Program.
Procedures such as skin lesion removals, implant insertion and iron infusions will be charged privately. Please check the cost with reception before making your appointment. We accept cash, cheque, some credit cards and Eftpos. We encourage you to pay on the day of the consultation.
Please note: Not all doctors are available to book via HotDoc. If the doctor you would like to see is not shown, please call the practice for further information on availability.

First Appointment
When you visit Mannum Medical Centre for the first time, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly and patient-focused environment dedicated to the care of you and your family.
Upon arrival, you’ll be asked to complete a patient information form (a printable version is available above).
Based on your health concerns, for example, obstetrics or skin cancer, a particular doctor may be recommended for your initial consultation.
Ongoing Appointments
To help us give you the best care possible, it’s a good idea to let reception know what your appointment is about when you book. That way, we can make sure your doctor has enough time and is prepared with anything needed for your visit. Providing this information in advance helps us deliver more efficient, personalised care tailored to your specific needs.
Consultation types
- In person
- Phone call
- Video callNote: Medicare do have minimum requirements for phone and video call consults.
- Walk-inNote: if you arrive without a booking, we will do our best to accommodate your needs; however depending on availability, you may be directed to an alternative service to ensure timely care.
Results
All test results and reports from specialist visits must be discussed with a doctor during a follow-up appointment. We recommend booking this appointment approximately two weeks after your test to allow time for results to be received and reviewed. This ensures your doctor can provide accurate information and appropriate next steps for your care.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Require an appointment with a Doctor.
It is in your best interest to see a Doctor each time you require a script for medication.
REFERRAL TO A SPECIALIST
Require an appointment with a Doctor.
This includes if it is a follow up requested by the specialist and it has been more than 12 months since the initial appointment with the specialist.
HOME VISIT
We do not provide routine home visits. Please speak with our nurses at the clinic, who will discuss with the GP whether a home visit is necessary, safe, and reasonable. When you request a home visit, please explain the urgency and location. A clinic consultation, phone consultation, help-line advice or ambulance transfer may be more appropriate.
Note: You may be charged an $80 fee for non attendance or short notice fee cancellations.
When a patient fails to attend a booked appointment it results in another patient missing out on an opportunity of seeing their preferred Doctor.
