Out of Hours Care
When a Doctor is not available at the Medical Centre patients will need to present to Mannum District Hospital or Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital as the Karoonda District Hospital are unable to assist at this point in time.
Karoonda and District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital
Karoonda and District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital is part of the Mallee Health Services. Our hospital is a 22 bed facility with 18 beds for aged care and four beds for active medical treatment. Adjoining the hospital is our eight-room low care hostel.
Accident and emergency
The Karoonda and District Soldiers' Memorial Hospital A&E department is temporarily closed at this point in time. Please attend Mannum District Hospital or the Murray Bridge Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for any treatment.
In a medical emergency, it is important that you do not ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.
